The inspiration for this three day intermediate jewelry course is the work of the great silversmiths of Mexico. Students will fabricate their own design for a pierced overlay bracelet with hinges for movement and a custom box clasp closure. Piercing and sweat soldering panels, forming the bracelet, fabricating and troubleshooting custom hinges and clasps and more will be covered during this workshop. Recent practice with jewelry skills, like sawing, filing and soldering, are required. The kit for this class is for a kit of sterling to make the project shown.

Techniques taught:
• Fabricating a hinge with a cradle
• Constructing a box clasp
• Adding a safety chain

Price includes a kit of all the materials required to make the projects for class and use of tools. Each student has a jewelry bench and a complete set of tools to use during class.

Class policies for refunds, transfers and cancelations.
