Beads and Yarn

Mary Wohlgemuth

Mary and Michael Thee co-teach their classes, with Mary paying special attention to students who are new to the techniques or just need a little extra help.

Before partnering with Michael in his jewelry business, Mary was a senior book editor for Kalmbach Publishing Company. For Kalmbach Books she specialized in acquiring and editing titles on topics including soldering, enameling, and other techniques for metalsmiths. Her education in metalwork and jewelry making started at Milwaukee Area Technical College in the 1990s. A graduate of Marquette University, she continued her arts education at Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design.

Now Mary and Michael create and sell their jewelry at art shows around the upper Midwest, working from their home studio in Milwaukee. They also teach at the Bead&Button Show in Milwaukee and through private lessons. The pair have designed and sell made-in-Milwaukee tools for metalsmiths, which you can check out at BeautifulJewelSupply.etsy.com
