Electroforming is a cool way to make jewelry and vessels. This process is used by the aerospace industry to grow metal parts, and for jewelry it lets you grow metal over objects until your metal is the thickness of sheet metal. You can electroform over plants, found objects and custom forms. Imagine copper succulents and pomegranates. You can do that with electroforming. Electroformed pieces can be enameled, too.
In this two day intensive class, students will learn about the process of copper electroforming and create at least one finished piece of electroformed jewelry. Electroforming allows you to create larger light forms for your jewelry.
