Earrings are one of the best selling, most popular forms of jewelry, but they have their own challenges for the maker. They’re a set and have to match, and people want earrings that are secure, with soldered connections that aren’t going to come apart. This online interactive Zoom class demonstrates valuable techniques for creating multiple matching earrings.
This course is available as an in-person workshop or live online class, and as a 2 week course or 1 day workshop. Please check this page for times and formats available.
First, students will make a pair of earrings with posts. Anat will demonstrate how to make studs with a bezel setting and tricks for soldering on posts.
Next, Anat will introduce techniques for making a variety of hoop earrings, with and without soldering.
This class is a great way to practice soldering, learn more soldering, filing, texturing and forming techniques - and be able to continue making lots of earrings, even after class. The skills taught in this class will easily transfer to other jewelry designs, like rings and pendants.
