Learn the basics of working with copper and bronze metal clays. Base metal clays, such as copper and bronze, can be more challenging to craft than fine silver clay. The basics of working with these metals, including conditioning, shaping, attaching, and firing are all skills that need to be altered and reconsidered.
In this class students will gain an in-depth orientation to the base metal clays while creating several projects. We will then move beyond solely base metals by adding a touch of fine silver to our bronze and copper projects. Use of a kiln is required for this class.
