Your jeweler’s saw is one of the most versatile and important tools you have. In this class, learn to master the saw and pierce work and how to make those cuts perfect every time! With a combination of exercises and pieces, you will learn how to get perfect corners, straight lines, smooth curves, how to texture, file, and manipulate your saw to create everything from intricate patterns to natural edges. We will also dive into how to take two-dimensional cuts into a three dimensional form without soldering.

About Our Interactive Online Classes
This class is online and uses the Zoom app/website. Through Zoom, you’ll be able to see demos and follow instructions, ask questions and interact with your instructor. Zoom is easy to use and free for students to use for class, and works on most devices, like phones (iphone, Android, etc), tablets (iPads, etc), and computers (Mac or PC).
This course meets for 4 sessions, 3 hours per session, for a total of 12 hours. Your instructor is also available during free Zoom office hours for questions and help.
Each class is also recorded and available for students to watch later, to review instructions or in case you missed a class.
Students work at home or in their studio. All of our recommended tools and the kit materials are chosen to be home studio friendly. We always choose the safest materials, chemicals and tools for you and the environment.

- Needle files
- 1mm drill bits
- Pin vise or dremel/flexshaft to use with the drill bit.
- Center punch
- Machinist square
- Extra fine point sharpie
- Glue stick or rubber cement

- Rawhide or plastic mallet
- Round/flat pliers
- Safe edge barrette needle file cut 2 or 3
