Recycle your Scrap into New Jewelry

Discover some easy ways to recycle your non-coated metal scrap. Don't worry if you don't already have a stash of scrap - we provide you with some to practice with during class.

Learn how to melt, forge, and solder the metal and exactly what materials can be used. Use a friendly hand held butane torch  to melt your metal and solder it, and design some lovely, simple and sweet organic jewelry components. 

Techniques covered:
• Casting small simple ingots
• Forging ingots into usable shapes for jewelry

• Soldering cast components together

Fusing sterling silver scrap to make gorgeous new pieces of jewelry


Kit of materials, full color handout and use of tools included.

Class policies for refunds, transfers and cancelations.




Students should have basic soldering skills, like successful completeion of any Basic Jewelry course at SJS or Intro to Soldering
