Sifters! Sifters! Sifters!

Saturday, December 4, 2021, 10:00AM - 5:00PM PT (Pacific Time)

Online Class

Cost: $175.00

This class is already under way. Please see below for any other available workshop dates.

Sifting, sifting, sifting! Sifting is one of the main ways of applying enamel to metal in preparation for firing, and sifters are one of the first tools an enamelist gets.

However, one size doesn't fit all!

Have you ever asked yourself which sifters to use when you start an enameled project or why are there so many different types of sifters: 40, 60, 80, 100, 150, 200, and 325 Meshes? Why so many choices?

Join Gabrielle Castonguay in this one day workshop on everything you ever wanted to know about sifters! Gabrielle will guide you through how to create your own sifters, exactly right for what you need! Nothing is more satisfying to work with a tool we’ve made ourselves for our artistic and technical needs.

The use of various meshes while sifting enamel will be discussed and examples of the arrays of applications and possibilities will be shown and practiced in class.

This course is available as a live online class.
