Join Mi-Sook Hur as she takes you on a journey into how to draw and paint with enamels! Mi-Sook demystifies how to work with color, creating tones, and palettes to create realistic images of various flowers, bees, and butterflies!
No drawing and painting skills are required! If you want to bring drawing into your work and have never done so before, Mi-Sook will guide you. If you have a illustrative background, she will show you tips and tricks to further your style and your work.
This online LIVE interactive Zoom workshop will cover modern Limoges painting techniques using overglaze china paints and ink. Inspired by nature, we will explore color combinations as well as monochromatic color schemes on copper forms. You can expect to complete a series of small pieces during this workshop.
All levels welcome, basic enameling skills, such as sifting and firing, are helpful.
Mi-Sook Hur is a metalsmith, enamelist, and educator teaching at the School of Art and Design at East Carolina University. Her work has been included in The Art of Enameling: Techniques, Projects, Inspiration; 500 Enameled Objects; and Metalsmith. She has received awards from the Enamelist Society and Niche Awards among others and has exhibited nationally and internationally.
Workshop Hours: Saturdays and Sundays November 14,15, 21, and 22.10am-1pm via Zoom.
